Romeo Doubs start or sit: Week 6 fantasy football advice

Week 6 of the 2025 NFL season is already upon us and the action will continue on Sunday with the Cincinnati Bengals hitting the road to battle the Green Bay Packers at 4:25 p.m. ET on FOX.

The Packers enter this matchup fresh off a bye week and the last time we saw them in action, they were going back in forth with the Cowboys in what ended up being a 40-40 overtime tie. Wide receiver Romeo Doubs balled out in that showdown and we’ll see if he can keep that momentum going following the break.

Below, we’ll go over Doubs’ outlook in fantasy football for Week 6.

Fantasy Football analysis: Packers WR Romeo Doubs

Doubs hauled in six of eight targets for 58 yards and three touchdowns in their tie with the Cowboys two weeks ago, becoming the first receiver this season to achieve a hat trick. It was the first real explosive fantasy performance for the fourth-year veteran this season as he was locked in with Jordan Love whenever the Pack reached the red zone in that primetime showdown.

That performance shot him up into the top-30 of standard and half-PPR leagues, which is impressive given the committee nature of Green Bay’s receiver room. Contract extension talks are beginning to surface for Doubs, so he’ll want to put his best foot forward as the Pack approaches the midway point of the season.

Start or sit in Week 6 Standard leagues?

Start. My instincts have told me to avoid starting Packer receivers this season, but the matchup plays into their favor this week. The Bengals have had the second-worst red-zone defense in the entire league this season, already giving up 12 passing touchdowns inside of the 20. Love should definitely be hunting for Doubs in these situations and while it’s highly unlikely that he’ll post another hat trick, I can easily see him scoring at least one touchdown in this one.
