Renfro Brands Names Jay Robinson as Its New CEO

Renfro Brands is starting 2026 with new leadership.

The company said it appointed Jay Robinson as its new president and CEO. Robinson, who succeeds Stan Jewell as he transitions to another opportunity, most recently led Renfro’s global brands division and innovation group.

In that role, he successfully led the team that “significantly increased the company’s global sales footprint with unique product offerings,” Renfro said. And with more than 30 years of executive leadership experience in the consumer products and apparel sectors, Robinson has a strong record of driving profitable growth.

In his new role, Robinson will focus on driving on sustainable growth, while enhancing Renfro’s brand portfolio and the firm continues to invest in both innovation and talent.

“Jay’s deep industry expertise, strategic mindset, and long-term commitment to Renfro make him uniquely qualified to lead the company into its next phase of growth,” said Ari Rennert, president of The Renco Group Inc. Renco is the parent company of Renfro Brands.

“Renfro’s success has always been built on its people, its partnerships, and its commitment to innovation. I look forward to collaborating with our talented teams to build on our momentum, invest in our brands, and drive sustainable, long-term growth,” Robinson said.

Renfro is a legwear and apparel manufacturer across the men’s, women’s and children’s categories. It manages a portfolio of owned and licensed brands that include Polo Ralph Lauren, New Balance, Dr. Scholl’s, Soffe, Hotsox, and K.Bell. Renfro operates a fully integrated global platform that works with leading retailers across international markets.

Legwear continues to garner attention, with celebrities like Rihanna wearing socks with sandals. That trend continued into 2025, with Simone Ashley adopting the socks and heels trend for “The Devil Wears Prada 2” and Katie Holmes wearing sandals and socks on the “Happy Hour” set.

Interest in shoes and legwear continued in the back half of the year Zara Larsson chose to wear bright fuschia Stretch Thong Boots from MM6 Maison Margiela — the silhouette is that of an open-toe sock boot — at the iHeartRadio Y100.7’s Jingle Ball red carpet on Dec. 20.

Puma’s collaboration with French designer Louis Gabriel Nouchi featured an update Mostro Sock, with the same recognizable spiked rubber sole but now having the hybrid silhouette sporting an ankle-high sock profile.
