Renée Zellweger put a sleek spin on the trench coat while at an event for the fourth “Bridget Jones” film. The actress wore a silk coat dress for a screening of “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy” at the Soho Hotel in London.
For the occasion, Zellweger opted to wear a look from Dior‘s spring 2025 show along with a pair of pointed-toe pumps by Christian Louboutin and a vintage David Webb ring from Maison Mèrenor. Zellweger’s look was curated by Petra Flannery, who’s also styled stars such as as Reese Witherspoon and “Emilia Pérez” Oscar-nominee Zoe Saldaña.
Zellweger’s trench coat dress is a counterpart to the Dior silk skirt suit from the same collection that Cynthia Erivo wore last weekend to Sundance Film Festival. Erivo paired a silk sculptural jacket with a matching midi pencil skirt and a pair of tonal suede Christian Louboutin platform boots with a stiletto heel.
Zellweger has been working with Flannery throughout her current “Bridget Jones” press tour, including on the look she wore yesterday to a photo call in London, which consisted of an updated take on Y2K style. Zellweger brought back capri pants for the event, wearing a pair of high-waisted cropped leather trousers with a turtleneck and blazer with rolled up sleeves. She finished the look a pair of black Persol sunglasses and with Christian Louboutin’s black pointed-toe heels.
The actress also dialed back the clock for the premiere of “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy.” At the London event, Zellweger wore a gown older than the original 2001 film. She wore a strapless pink dress with a dramatic train from Pierre Balmain’s Fall 2000 haute couture collection. She wore the gown with a pair of burgundy pointed-toe heels and a statement cocktail ring.
Zellweger’s new film “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy,” which sees its titular character (Zellweger) reentering the world of dating as a single mom and widow, arrives in theaters Feb. 13.
