Renate Reinsve went for a fiery red shoe for the 98th Annual Academy Awards held at Dolby Theatre on Sunday in Hollywood. Instead of the standard satin pump on the Oscars red carpet, the actress opted for one of Giuseppe Zanotti‘s sultriest strappy heels.

Reinsve, who is nominated for an Academy Award for Actress in a Leading Role for “Sentimental Value,” opted for the Giuseppe Zanotti Intriigo Strap Sandals 105. The sandals are one of the designer’s most popular styles and are characterized by their ultra-pointed open toe, and her pair was made in vibrant red patent leather.
The shoes feature a super slim strap that crisscrosses at the back of the ankle, which is fastened with a metal buckle. The strap is held up by a thin strap on the counter, and the shoes balance on top of a tall, skinny stiletto heel measuring 4.1 inches.

The shoes are available in a variety of colors like black, pink and white, and retail for $950. The Intriigo style is a favorite among celebrities, and is popular thanks to its sleek design with sharp edges and a minimalist silhouette that also feels feminine. Giuseppe Zanotti also offers the Intriigo in a mule style and with shorter heel heights and materials.
Reinsve paired hers with an equally minimalist dress. She opted for a custom Louis Vuitton silk crepe dress, which featured a strapless design with a long train that draped down the right side of her frame. The right side of her legs were left completely exposed, with a dramatically high slit that went up to her torso, and the cut allowed for the shoes to take center stage. She wore her hair pulled back in a low pony tail with subtle makeup except a bold red lip.
