Reebok has quietly introduced a new walking shoe which doubles as a lifestyle sneaker and quickly sold out in a limited-edition, retailer-exclusive style, but there are more colorways on the way as well as an accessible iteration of the sneaker readers can buy now.

The DMX Series 3000 is a brand-new Reebok model rooted in the brand’s pre-2000s design language. The shoe is a modern reimagining of Reebok’s DMX Miramar from the late 1990s and features a textile and mesh-based upper with synthetic leather. The key component of the shoe, however, is its underfoot cushioning, which combines three pods of Reebok’s DMX moving air technology in the heel with DMX Comfort+ foam in the forefoot. 

According to Reebok’s product description, the DMX Series 3000 is intended as a soft and responsive walking shoe. To help introduce the new model, Reebok called on some help from Teaneck, New Jersey retailer Packer, which released the DMX Series 3000 in a White/Gray/Yellow colorway that quickly sold out.

Curiously, this isn’t the first Reebok sneaker to carry the DMX Series 3000 moniker. In the late 2010s, the brand offered various DMX Series models including a shoe known as the DMX Series 3000, which is unrelated to the current model. 

In January, Reebok made headlines after signing Grammy-winning record artist Karol G to a multi-year partnership. Thus far, she’s already been the face of the brand’s “Born Classic. Worn for Life.” campaign.

While Packer’s exclusive style has already sold through, there are other opportunities to pick up the sneaker. It’s available now in a similarly colorful Sport Citrus/Black Berry/Gray makeup from overseas retailers including Footshop, with a wider release set for later this month. And if color isn’t a priority, triple-black version of the DMX Series 3000 is available now from reebok.com in a full size run.

The Reebok DMX Series 3000 retails for $130 and has several more releases scheduled throughout February and beyond.
