Rei Ami brought a full leather-like moment to the 2025 TikTok Awards at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on Thursday, keeping the focus of her look on Azalea Wang’s Birdsong Snap open-toe bootie in black. The booties featured layered faux-leather panels snapped down the front, with silver snap-style hardware running down the sides and the back. The peep-toe style had a 4-inch slim stiletto heel, with the stacked overlays keeping them hidden from the front.

She paired the shoes with a matching minidress in the same inky black finish. The dress featured strong, extended shoulders, a high funnel neckline and curved seaming through the torso. Side panels pushed out at the hips and kept the hemline straight and boxy above mid-thigh. Silver earrings, rings and sharp metallic nails picked up the hardware on her booties, and she wore her hair in a high ponytail with blunt bangs.

The look landed in step with Rei Ami’s recent “KPop Demon Hunters” press wardrobe. Earlier this fall, she wore a red jacket by Duran Lantink with a voluminous black miniskirt and dramatic Rombaut boots for “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” then changed into a custom Mary Witch and Yeha Leung corseted look with Thom Solo boots for a performance. Across those appearances, she has leaned into all-black, hardware-heavy pieces with Y2K and Gothic notes.
