To help make the arrival of warmer, brighter days even sweeter, Reformation is back with a fresh swim collection that you just might want to repurpose into your everyday wear for spring. The brand, after all, is known as the ultimate cool-girl go-to, and it infused this trend awareness into the latest batch of on-point triangle bikini tops, one-pieces in opulent hues, and more standout picks that are bound to split time between the closet and the carry-on.
Spring is the prime time for showing more skin as we lighten our layers and become more creative with our style equations. Whether it be the long jacket and teensy, strapless bra mashup or the fresh look of a bodysuit paired with baggy jeans, perfect pairings this season can not only take inspiration from swimwear but literally make use of it — all thanks to Reformation’s versatile swim capsule. Need convincing? The Wailea One Piece Swimsuit in the luxurious color of coffee is something you can reimagine as a bodysuit: layering on your favorite denim (particularly of the oversized variety, for some proportion play) and putting on a strappy sandal as the cherry on top of a date night ‘fit. The one-piece in question is super soft, stretchy, and boasts a back cutout that will add even more visual interest to your look. If you want to channel retro vibes through your bodysuit-slash-swimsuit, look instead to the Joy One Piece Swimsuit (a bestselling return from last year) in bright red with an ivory trim — which will bestow your brunch look with instant “Baywatch” energy and look especially chic if you throw on a cropped leather jacket to seal the deal.
Reformation’s 2025 swim collection is flooded with vintage details and endless opportunities for transitional weather layering.

Further mix-and-match experimentation can come in the form of wearing Reformation’s lighter-hued Azul Bikini Top under a loose-fitting blazer in a contrasting shade. The top’s universally flattering silhouette is further elevated by its cotton-like hand feel, and you can be sure of the fact that many a celeb (everyone from Emily Ratajkowski and Lori Harvey to Chrissy Teigen, not to mention Lauren Sanchez circa January 20) has given the blazer-bra combo a seal of approval in their own style ensembles.
On Nov. 29, 2023, Kate Hudson put on display the flattering nature of blazers when worn overtop bras, with nothing else underneath. Her bandeau resembles Reformation’s Praia Bikini Top, which has removable straps for even greater versatility.

On spring 2025 runways last year, we witnessed no shortage of ensembles that leaned towards athleisure. Sporty was the name of the game for brands like Off-White, with its corset-embedded tracksuits; Miu Miu, whose two-tone windbreakers draped over dresses; and Ferragamo, showcasing tights, body-contouring tops, and thong sandals with satin ribbons that evoked the beautiful world of ballerinas. Most applicable to the whole “swimwear as clothes” ethos we’re advocating for here was Tory Burch’s spring 2025 presentation (in a setting designed to look like a green-tiled public pool, no less). The collection stunned with outfit combos that included sequined one-piece swimsuits under loose trousers, paired with shimmering earrings and fancy footwear for the ultimate high-low moment. If that doesn’t inspire you to grab Reformation’s newest swim arrivals in multiples, we don’t know what will.
Beyond boasting bright colors and animal prints that are trending for 2025, Reformation’s swim drop also stands out thanks to its sustainability element. The pieces are all made from a bio-based fiber that contains no traces of plastic and is derived from the 100-percent renewable castor plant. This is very much in line with the brand’s overall environmental activism since its start in 2009 — which manifests in working to promote resource efficiency within its supply chain, being fully carbon-neutral since 2015, and keeping itself accountable through sustainability reports available for all to see.
Feel-good, look-good clothes that you can wear from morning stroll to sunset swim, or else flaunt around the city if a vacation isn’t on the horizon? Now that’s a proper way to ring in spring.
