On a night dedicated to honoring the press and the First Amendment, the women’s fashion at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner 2025 made its own statement. Shimmering fabrics, delicate sheers and designer pieces were seen on the event’s red carpet, which took place on Saturday at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C.

Here, WWD takes a closer look at the fashion moments from the event.

The 2025 White House Correspondents’ Dinner took place on Saturday at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C. Organized by the White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA), the annual event brings together journalists, political figures and entertainment industry guests to recognize outstanding achievements in journalism and raise funds for the WHCA’s First Amendment scholarships and mentorship programs.

This year’s dinner did not feature a comedic headliner, as Amber Ruffin, who was originally scheduled to perform, was removed from the lineup following controversy over her comments about President Trump.
