Queen Letizia of Spain took knitwear to a new level during the inauguration of a new exhibit in Madrid on Tuesday. The Spanish royal family member attended the “Goya X Lita Cabellut. The Follies. Wretched Humanity, The Fault Is Yours.”
For the occasion, Queen Letizia opted for a refined knitwear ensemble, starting with a navy floral intarsia knit dress from Galcon Studio, adorned with two cream flowers on rich navy fabric. Made from 100% Merino Wool, the dress featured an evasé silhouette, a crew neckline and three-quarter sleeves. The midi dress was complemented by a slim belt at the waist for a defined silhouette. She completed the look with matching pointed navy shoes.
For accessories, Letizia chose a small black top-handle handbag and Yanes floral stud earrings. Her hair was styled straight and down with a slight side part.
This Galcon Studio look has been a favorite of Queen Letizia’s for the past few years. She wore the dress for royal engagements in March 2022, April 2023, and last March, showcasing its versatility and wearability.
Up-cycling and re-wearing wardrobe pieces have become a major trend among royal women. Kate Middleton has long repurposed several of her looks, and Queen Camilla regularly re-wears dresses by her go-to designers, Anna Valentine and Fiona Clare.
