Queen Camilla Wears Anna Valentine Dress for VE Day Service

Queen Camilla joined prominent members of the British royal family on Thursday in London for the Thanksgiving Service to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day. The service, celebrating the official end of World War II in Europe, took place at Westminster Abbey and was attended by King Charles III, Kate Middleton and more.

For the public royal engagement, Queen Camilla turned to one of her favorite designers. The queen consort wore a black and white dress courtesy of Anna Valentine, a London-based designer who has created several of Camilla’s dresses.

The look featured a white midi dress with long sleeves and a rounded neckline. Along the cuffs of the dress and down the front in an off-center design were black threaded details, which also featured on the neckline.

Queen Camilla accessorized her look with a statement Philip Treacy hat. Queen Camilla has worn the design before for the Emperor and Empress of Japan’s state visit to the U.K. in June 2024.

Both Philip Treacy and Anna Valentine have been granted Royal Warrants by King Charles and Queen Camilla in December 2024.

Queen Camilla completed her attire with suede sand pumps by Eliot Zed and accessorized her attire with her signature Van Cleef & Arpels bracelet.

Queen Camilla was not the only member of the British royal family to style a black and white look for Thursday’s Thanksgiving Service. Kate Middleton attended the event as well, wearing her spin on black and white dressing with a playful pattern. The Princess of Wales wore a polka dot Alessandra Rich midi dress featuring a flowing skirt and fitted bodice with fabric ruching at the waist.

Like Queen Camilla, Kate also styled a hat to coordinate with her look, wearing a black flower and feather teardrop hat fascinator by Juliette Botterill. She also accessorized with a subtle nod to the late Princess Diana by wearing the Collingwood Pearl Drop Earrings.
