Update: Nacua returned to the game on the Rams’ subsequent possession.
The Los Angeles Rams are inching closer to locking up a playoff spot, as they lead the Detroit Lions late in the fourth quarter.
But Rams fans are waiting on updates on the status of star wide receiver Puka Nacua.
Nacua went down on an awkward tackle with under five minutes remaining. Head coach Sean McVay came on to the field at SoFi Stadium to check on the status of his wide receiver, On the play Nacua was. twisted down to the turf, but absorbed a hard hit from a safety breaking downhill in addition to the awkward, twisting tackle.
The wide receiver tried to get up while being assisted to his feet by a teammate, but then crashed back down to the turf.

Prior to that play, Nacua was leading the way for the Rams. He had caught a team-high nine passes for 181 yards as the Rams built their lead over the Lions, and moved closer to locking up a playoff spot.
With a victory over Detroit, the Rams will have clinched at least a spot in the postseason.
