Puka Nacua injury: Rams WR returns to Week 6 matchup vs. Ravens

Update 2: Puka Nacua has returned to the game for the Rams in the third quarter.

Update: Puka Nacua returned to the sidelines with his helmet on right before the half of Sunday’s game. We’ll see if he re-enters the game after the break.

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua suffered a foot injury in the second quarter of their Week 6 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday and has been ruled as questionable to return to the contest.

The wideout went up for a potential touchdown grab against Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey and landed hard. He attempted to walk off the field on his own volition, but eventually had to be helped by Rams trainers.

Nacua had grabbed two of three targets for 28 yards before exiting the game and his absence could be a huge blow to the Rams’ offense. The All-Pro wideout entered Week 6 leading the entire league in receiving, hauling in 52 receptions for 588 yards and two touchdowns through five games and was on a trajectory to set the NFL’s single-season receptions record.

With him sidelined at the moment, fellow All-Pro Davante Adams will slide in as the Rams’ top receiver option.

Note: This is a developing story that will be updated as more information becomes available regarding Nacua’s status.
