Patrick Ta is taking it back to where it all began. The celebrity makeup artist — who’s known for an ebullient online persona and groundbreaking, glow-boosting techniques — just released an expansion of the body care collection that launched his eponymous beauty brand in 2019.
“I’ve always believed that the body is just as important as the face when it comes to beauty,” Ta shares exclusively with WWD. “When I’m working with my clients, I never let them step onto a red carpet without glowing, radiant skin. I always put a finishing glowy touch on the body — from décolletage to shoulders — it really completes the look. This is why when I first launched the brand in 2019 with my co-founders, Avo and Rima Minasyan, we started with Body. ”
The new products, which include a rich body cream, two body oils, and a hair and body mist, all fall within Patrick Ta Beauty’s Major Glow line. While we’ve seen many luxury body care products hit the market with a focus on face serum-caliber ingredients, very few tiptoe into the realm of body makeup. Ta, who has over 5 million combined followers on TikTok and Instagram, aims to strike a balance between the two with his new collection.
“I knew that high performance formulas that truly nourish the skin were table stakes so I worked incredibly hard to ensure that these also gave you an instant gorgeous glow that you just have to show off,” says Ta, who counts Gigi Hadid, Camila Cabello, and Alix Earle as regular clients. “You will look and smell too good to stay home.”
The lineup builds on the success of Patrick Ta’s All-Over Glow Balm, a glassy highlighter balm for the face and body that has amassed millions of views on TikTok and over 100,000 hearts on Sephora’s Loves List.
Similar to the balm, the new Major Glow Body Oils arrive in two shades: one clear and one rich bronze for skin-blurring sheen and a post-vacation glow, respectively. A highly-nourishing body cream and hair and body fragrance mist — which will make you smell “decadent, sultry, and irresistible,” according to Ta — are also part of the expanded body care line.
With these new formulas, you’ll be spoiled for choice in terms of texture, which is exactly what Ta had in mind — his ultimate glow-up tip for hot girl summer? “Layer your glow.” The combination of fast-absorbing oils and nourishing creams allow you to build up to your preferred wattage of shine: “Whether you want a soft, dewy sheen or a more luminous look, each formula lends that effortless, camera-ready glow,” he explains.

Previous Patrick Ta Beauty launches have sold out in lightning speed, with shoppers queuing up for restocks of certain shades of his TikTok-famous blush duos, foundation, and eyeshadow palettes. That’s likely in part due to his social media fame, but more so his knack for creating products that make his pro artistry glam looks achievable at home. Take the Major Headlines Double-Take Crème and Powder Blush Duos for example, where Ta managed to turn a makeup artist secret for statement blush into a mainstream technique: Layer your cream blush on top of a powder blush, and the effect is a healthy flush cheek that looks like skin.
“With this collection, I wanted to bring that same ethos that’s evident in the Patrick Ta Beauty makeup collection, but to the body by creating products that layer seamlessly, reflect light in just the right way, and enhance the skin’s natural beauty,” Ta says.

Patrick Ta Major Glow Hair and Body Fragrance Mist
“This Fragrance Mist is sweet enough for day and sultry enough for night, with notes of bright bergamot, jasmine and warm sugar, plus sensual notes of amber, moss, and sandalwood,” says Ta. “It’s decadent, indulgent, and delicious, leaving you feeling instantly irresistible — it’s the ultimate finishing touch to any summer look.”
Editor testing and review notes: “If I lived in Miami, this would be my signature scent all year long. Since I’m in New York City instead, I reserve it for date nights — and look forward to wearing it during warm weather season. With notes of bergamot, sandalwood, and jasmine, it reads as a sophisticated beach babe scent.” — Senior Beauty & Lifestyle Commerce Editor Claire Sullivan

Patrick Ta Major Glow Nourishing Bronzing Body Oil
Patrick Ta Beauty’s newest body oil will turn dull winter skin into the stuff of bronzed goddesses. The formula’s golden tint sheers out on the skin for realistic warmth: “We wanted a natural, sunkissed bronze that never looks orange,” says Ta. It does just that, while ingredients like açai oil and cupuassu butter make your skin silky while you wear it and well afterwards.
Editor testing and review notes: “What’s amazing about this bronze body oil is that it’s entirely glitter free. Instead of making you shine with shimmery specks that end up all over the beach towel or my precious clothes, this formula almost disappears on the skin, so I just look hydrated and glowy wherever I’ve massaged it on.” — Sullivan

Patrick Ta Major Glow Shine Skin Perfecting Crème
“We wanted the Crème to melt into your skin but still leave a lasting glow,” says Ta, who worked with his co-founders to formulate the butter with smoothing shea butter, prickly pear extract for light exfoliation, and rosemary extract and rice bran oil to support a healthy skin barrier. A little goes a long way and the fragrance carries well, making the sizable pot of cream well worth the spend.
Editor testing and review notes: “This is the shiniest body cream I’ve tested in my near-decade as a beauty editor — in the best way possible. Just a dime-sized amount turned my dry legs into gleaming gams, and they didn’t feel overly slick or greasy after I massaged it on.” — Sullivan

Patrick Ta Major Glow High Shine Nourishing Body Oil
“If you’re going for high-shine hydration, start with the Major Glow Body Crème for a layer of rich moisture and luminous sheen,” says Ta. “Then I go in with our Major Glow High Shine Nourishing Body Oil for extra hydration and glowy finish.” The clear oil contains meadowfoam seed extract to send much-needed moisture to thirsty skin.
Editor testing and review notes: “This high-shine body oil is such an amazing solution for making my arms and décolleté look hydrated and glossy when I’m otherwise worried that a shimmery oil will stain white clothing or a delicate dress. It sinks right into the skin and leaves no trace on any garments it touches.” — Sullivan
