Ecart Introduces New Re-issues of Paul László

The Arcadia Chair 1950

The Arcadia chair designed by Paul László.

Carrying forward the vision of founder Andrée Putman, Pierre Yovanovitch brought his expertise and passion for 20th-century design to lead the brand into a new era — celebrating Ecart’s iconic legacy while ushering it into its next chapter.

Two years after acquiring Ecart, Yovanovitch relaunched with a series of reissues by midcentury modern visionary American-Hungarian émigré Paul László, regarded as one of the leading architects of the period.

Originally created for László’s interior projects, these pieces, among them the Arcadia chair issued in 1950, will be available to the public for the first time.

The relationship between glass artist Giberto Arrivabene Valenti Gonzaga, founder of Giberto Venezia, and Chahan Minassian was built upon a mutual love and appreciation for Venice and its artisan wonders. During Maison&Objet, the two unveiled a special collection of glassware called a Venetian Oasis, which includes pieces that were crafted by Murano glassmakers. Minassian, who has had a home in Venice for more than eight years and has most recently made textiles with Venetian textile house Fortuny, delved into Giberto Venezia’s archives. Together they envisaged pieces from the past through a brand new lens and in colors that call to mind the nuanced characteristics of the Venetian lagoon.

Dedar Milano’s 2026 collection of fabrics embraced pure abstraction and fresh conceptual ideas. An array of design-forward designs were inspired by geometric motifs that reinterpreted tartan, and even the colorful complexity of the Centre Pompidou. The Grammelot, for example, was fashioned like an African cave painting and oriental handwriting.

Saint-Louis, the fabled crystal glass business founded in 1586, and Parisian artist José Lévy enhanced their Endiablés (French for “devilish” or “spirited”) collection with three new combinations of bowls. In 2011, Lévy first introduced his playful aesthetic into the historic crystal maker. Today, with this new baroque dance, he continues the same creative approach, adapting them to the rituals of a modern generation and freeing objects from any predetermined use.

In 2020, Fahad Hariri acquired Pinto, the distinguished Paris-based interior design studio founded by the late Alberto Pinto. Since then, the Lebanese creative has expanded the house’s collection with unexpected collaborations and forward-looking designs. During Maison&Objet, the aesthete unveiled five new collections of furniture and tableware at his expansive 11 rue d’Aboukir space.

The Pinto × Augusta Alexander collection of tableware was envisaged with Augusta Alexander, a former model who has worked with brands such as Versace, Bottega Veneta, Dsquared, Dolce & Gabbana, and GCDS, among many others and most recently collaborated with Cartier, presented alongside their new high jewelry collection in Vienna.
