P.K. Subban’s NHL playoff picks were absolutely tragic

Love him or hate him, the one thing P.K. Subban has mastered when it comes to being an NHL analyst on ESPN is his ability to be loud and emphatic. It’s just the whole “analyzing hockey accurately” part that might have some problems.

With the Stanley Cup Playoffs under way and the Eastern Conference Finals beginning on Tuesday night, it’s a good opportunity to go back a month and appreciate just how stunningly bad Subban’s picks for the playoffs were.

Outside of the Jets beating the Blues and Golden Knights beating the Wild in the first round my man got EVERY SINGLE SERIES IN THE PLAYOFFS WRONG. LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE ONE.

Not only that, but Subban had all four teams playing in the conference finals losing in the first round with only the Oilers managing to stretch a series to seven games. Meanwhile, of his four picks to make the Conference Finals only the Golden Knights managed to win their first round series, with the Avs, Lightning and Devils all being eliminated by teams currently in the final four.

It’s truly tempting to get a photo of this tweet on some nice glossy photo paper, frame it, and put it above my desk. Actually, I might do that if my Hurricanes manage to win the Stanley Cup this year.
