Overcoming the Interference Barrier: vHive Enables Autonomous Tower Surveys on the DJI Matrice 4E

New interference-resilient capability restores true autonomy for telecom tower digitization

vHive has announced exclusive support for fully autonomous tower surveys using the DJI Matrice 4E, marking a major step forward in overcoming radio-interference challenges at telecom sites. The company says its new capability resolves the long-standing issue that has limited the use of RTK-enabled drones like the Matrice 4E in high-interference areas.

Telecom towers create strong electromagnetic interference that disrupts precise RTK positioning. This problem has limited autonomous flights, forced manual operations, and caused repeated site visits for tower digitization teams. These delays increase project costs and weaken data quality at a time when operators need fast, accurate, and scalable information about their network assets.

vHive says it is the only provider to overcome these interference issues for the Matrice 4E. The solution restores seamless autonomy and allows pilots to fly safely and consistently in environments where RTK traditionally struggles.

“Our customers know they can count on us to deliver automation that works in scale, even in the toughest environments,” said Tomer Daniel, CTO and Co-Founder at vHive.

A Breakthrough for Tower Digitization at Scale

Telecom operators and TowerCos are looking for better visibility into their asset portfolios as they work to speed up rollout plans and manage rising costs. Automation is a critical part of that effort. Until now, however, interference has been a major barrier to autonomous drone surveys, which are needed to produce consistent digital twins across large tower networks.

vHive’s new capability removes this barrier for the Matrice 4E and helps operators collect high-quality data without delays or manual corrections. The company says the breakthrough also improves the accuracy and reliability of advanced analytics that depend on precise flight patterns and stable positioning.

The approach has already been proven on other DJI drones, including the Mavic 3E. With this latest update, vHive is extending its method across more aircraft models and is inviting global drone manufacturers to integrate the capability into their own fleets.

vHive’s Pioneering Role in Telecom Digitization

vHive has been a pioneer in digitization for the telecom industry, driving the shift toward scalable, automated digital-twin programs. The company’s platform supports end-to-end workflows, from data capture to AI-powered insights. By enabling reliable autonomous flights even in high-interference zones, vHive helps TowerCos and MNOs gather the consistent, high-quality data needed for revenue assurance, colocation planning, structural analysis, and network expansion.
