Nordstrom is about to shine the light on Jacquemus, the Parisian brand created by Simon Porte Jacquemus in 2009.
The retailer will open a temporary boutique for the brand at its men’s store in New York City that will be open from Wednesday through the end of the month. The space on the store’s main floor marks the first time Jacquemus has partnered with a U.S. retailer on a stand-alone boutique.
The shop will feature the fall 2024 men’s collection, La Casa, along with a select assortment of women’s accessories and ready-to-wear pieces. Prices will range from $125 to $2,355.
“We are incredibly excited to partner with Jacquemus and bring the fall ‘24 collection to life in an immersive way at our New York City flagship,” said Rickie De Sole, fashion director at Nordstrom. “Jacquemus continues to innovative, and we look forward to showcasing the brand’s unique point of view to our customers through this limited-time takeover.”
She continued: “Jacquemus has consistently captivated us with its ability to create deeply engaging brand experiences, complemented by their fresh approach to marketing and merchandising. The brand’s last show in Capri was a sun-soaked tour de force, and we are thrilled to spotlight the collection — with a focus on menswear and handbags — in our New York City flagship in such an impactful way this September.”
The “vibrant joy Jacquemus infuses into each of its activations resonates deeply with our ethos at Nordstrom, particularly the brand’s approachability through its range and color palette,” De Sole said. “The collection we’re featuring, originally shown in Capri, captures the essence of sophisticated, color-saturated designs that provide a much-needed uplift. With bags in pop colors like turquoise, leaf-green, pink and yellow, these bright and spirited pieces are this fall’s must-haves.”
De Sole said the ability to offer customers “an intimate glimpse into Simon Porte Jacquemus’ vision is a truly unique opportunity. With Jacquemus’ imaginative and immersive approach, we’re excited to create an experience at Nordstrom that feels personal and engaging. Whether on the street or in-store in New York, this is a thrilling moment to bring the world of Jacquemus closer to our customers.”
Nordstrom has carried Jacquemus’ women’s collection since spring 2017 and the menswear since spring 2021.
Nordstrom has opened pop-ups for a number of men’s brands since the store opened. That includes Paul Smith, Virgil Abloh, Thom Browne and Sky High Farm workwear as well as other themed shops for sports and American classics.
Jacquemus was founded in 2009 in Paris and is dedicated to the memory of the designer’s late mother. The men’s and women’s rtw and accessories reference a French way of life and universal gestures of beauty including fine art photography, decorative art, film, paintings and sculpture.
