After hitting its stride with the Nike Ja 3, Ja Morant’s signature sneaker line is reportedly taking an unexpected turn as it prepares to enter its fourth installment.
According to early information shared by Sneaker Files, Sneaker Market Romania, @zsneakerheadz and @brandon1an, the Nike Ja 4 will be introduced at retail during fall 2024. Although in-hand images aren’t yet available, mock-up renders were shared which are said to provide an idea of what to expect from the upcoming release.
The Nike Ja 4 is expected to pair a Cushlon 3.0 foam midsole with a ZoomX insole. Like the Ja 3, the Ja 4 will combine the Nike Swoosh logo with an A shape to spell out the Memphis Grizzlies star’s first name, although this time around it will reportedly serve a functional purpose as well. Early spec info outlines a stability Ja frame which appears to incorporate carbon fiber for rigidity.
But that’s not all. In addition to the standard Ja 4, which follows the low-top look of his previous signature models, Nike will also reportedly introduce a Ja 4 High to the mix. Early renders of the Ja 4 High depict a laceless mesh-based high-top with a sock-like build. While additional details are currently scarce, the Nike Ja 4 High is expected to be released in both Halloween and Christmas-themed colorways.

Other Nike Ja 4 styles fans can reportedly expect to see released include a New York-themed pair (style code IM4134-001) and a collaboration with basketball publication Slam (style code IZ2539-001).
While the Ja 3 was praised by many fans as the best Morant signature model yet, the Ja 4 arrives at a pivotal point of the NBA star’s career. He’s missed much of the current NBA season due to injury and when he has played, has put up career-low numbers. There have been talks that Morant could soon be traded from the Grizzlies, but February’s NBA trade deadline came and went without any movement for the Nike-endorsed star.
The standard Nike Ja 4 is set to be released this fall and retail for $130, with some of the more premium pairs, including a collaboration with the “Jaws” film franchise (style code IZ2539-001), priced at $140. Meanwhile, the newly introduced Nike Ja 4 High will see a price hike to $180 when it arrives this holiday season.
