Nike Air Force 1 Low Realtree IH1221-001 Release Date

The Nike Air Force 1 Low is taking on several looks this fall and winter, from a seasonally appropriate leaf shroud to a big portrait of Kobe Bryant’s face. Joining the former camp soon will be a camouflage treatment courtesy of one of the field’s foremost specialists.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Realtree” sees the classic sneaker take on the pattern as part of a black canvas look. Starting with a black base of the more durable fabric, each of the overlays incorporates the leafy print, including the eyestay and Swoosh. A special bronze star eyelet appears at the top of the lacing arrangement, and Realtree camo rears its head once again on the tongue tag and outsole. Rounding out the shoe is an all-black sole unit.

Realtree camouflage was designed by outdoorsman Bill Jordan in 1986. He attempted to mock the bark pattern from an oak tree in his parents’ lawn and found a rabid appetite for his production at a trade show, and his designs are now widely licensed across the outdoor industry and in fashion, adopting the hyperrealistic print.

Nike itself is no stranger to Realtree, having dressed the Air Force 1 Low in its camouflage back in 2019.

Later this year, another spin on the “Triple Black” Air Force 1 Low will arrive with an all-denim upper.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Realtree” will release Oct. 3 through Nike’s website and select third-party retailers. Pricing is set at $120.
