Nike ACG Zegama 2026 Release Date

Nike’s commitment to off-road running continues with the Tuesday unveiling of the ACG Zegama, the latest installment of its Zegama trail running franchise, now rebranded under the Beaverton, Ore.-based company’s All Conditions Gear (ACG) line. 

Set for a summer 2026 launch, the Nike ACG Zegama fine tunes the 2014 Zegama 2 sneaker with updates to its cushioning and fit without changing the elements runners had come to appreciate. Nike says the new model is geared toward ultramarathoners and describes the max-cushioned as the “most rugged” of its ACG running sneakers.

“The ACG Zegama has the same comfort and stability as its predecessor, which I already loved as a daily trainer, and adds more responsiveness that makes it really fun to race in,” All Conditions Racing Department member Caleb Olson said in a press release. 

The ACG Zegama’s technical tweaks include exposing its ZoomX foam underfoot, resulting in what Nike touts as 85 percent energy return. To balance things out, Cushlon 3.0 foam is also added to the midsole for stability. Vibram Megagrip rubber returns on the outsole, but Nike says it has an improved lug pattern. Perhaps most crucially, a new trail-specific last was developed to give runners more space in the forefoot and toe box. 

“The shoe feels excellent right out of the box; the traction is stellar; and, of course, it looks really good,” All Conditions Racing Department runner Tyler Green said.

Nike’s ACG line was officially introduced in 1989, although the company had been active in the outdoor footwear space since the early 1980s. The ACG and trail lines were often marketed separately, but the new ACG Zegama model follows the August reveal of the ACG Ultrafly and the rebrand of its broader trail running apparel and footwear offerings to ACG. 

The ACG Zegama will be released next summer from nike.com and select Nike ACG retailers. Pricing has not yet been confirmed.
