New York Men’s Day to Return With Eight Designers on Feb. 11

New York Men’s Day is once again planning to help kick off New York Fashion Week.

The showcase for emerging men’s brands will hold its 25th edition on Wednesday, Feb. 11, the official opening day of NYFW. Eight brands will be showcased in two sessions — 10:30 a.m. to noon and 4:30 to 6 p.m. — at the Mercedes-Benz of Manhattan showroom in Hell’s Kitchen.

The brands that will be featured are A. Potts, Avon Anglers, Chelsea Grays, Christopher Lowman, Monday Blues Studio, Peak Lapel, Science Project Company and Wangda.

In addition, presenting sponsor Project by Informa will bring a group of brands that will show at its Las Vegas trade show on Feb. 17-19, along with labels from its Incubator Program. Four different brands will be highlighted at each session.

“Menswear is always evolving, and New York Men’s Day is at the forefront of that evolution,” said Edwina Kulego, vice president of global business development and growth at Fashion by Informa, owner of Project. “The energy NYMD brings to kick off New York Fashion Week is unmatched, showcasing the creativity and innovation. At Project, we share NYMD’s mission of supporting emerging talent and curating everything the modern man needs. We’re proud to be the title sponsor and champion the future of menswear.”

Manuel Terrones, general manager of Mercedes-Benz of Manhattan, said the company’s 330,000-square-foot space “seamlessly transforms to showcase the emerging designers’ collections. The showroom is fit to create immersive experiences and NYMD is a partnership we continue to invest in to make that vision come to life.”

In addition to Project, other sponsors include Vogel NYC, America’s oldest custom shoemaker, which will unveil its Icons Collection of nine models, as well as Grimoire, the skin care partner, Oribe Hair Care and Augment makeup. Jahn Hall, founder of Union Management, will provide casting services.

“The incredible space and technology provides the perfect backdrop for our platform and we are excited for Project by Informa to show up in a bigger way this season through their sponsorship,” said Erin Hawker, founder of Agentry PR, NYMD’s creator. This season, we have Project Las Vegas Preview; six debut designers in menswear: Avon Anglers, Christopher Lowman, Monday Blues Studio, Science Project Company, and Wangda; and the return of A. Potts, Chelsea Grays, and Peak Lapel. We can’t wait for New York Men’s Day to kick off Fashion Week in February again.”
