Model and content creator Nara Smith is fronting Vegamour’s latest campaign as the face of its new hair supplement launch. The biotech-driven hair brand is expanding its ingestibles portfolio with Gro+ Advanced Supplements, a daily dual-capsule regimen designed to reduce hair shedding, improve density and restore scalp health.
Vegamour, founded in 2016 by Dan Hodgdon in Los Angeles, already offers Gro Biotin Gummies, aiming to help neutralize follicle-damaging free radicals — unstable molecules that can harm hair follicles — and Gro Ageless Gray Delay, formulated to preserve hair’s natural pigment.

“We’ve been known for our hair growth topicals and our scalp care, but we’re really leaning into our history in hair longevity and working with the body’s biology to have the best hair that you can have,” said Michelle Miller, Vegamour’s chief marketing officer.
The Gro+ Advanced Supplements are vegan and cruelty-free, consisting of one botanical capsule that’s formulated with saw palmetto, pumpkin seed, reishi, turmeric and PQQ (to target the DHT hormone, inflammation, stress and mitochondrial health) and two vitamin softgels blending vitamins A, C, D, E, B12, zinc, selenium and biotin (to support scalp function and follicle strength). According to Vegamour, clinical studies showed up to 91 percent less shedding and an 89 percent improvement in hair density after four months of consistent use.
“The actual pills are smaller, but they’re still very powerful,” Miller went on. “And they’re portable, so they’re in a portable pill pack that you can take with you anywhere. What we’ve heard from our community is what’s currently out there is hard to swallow and then also hard to fit into a routine.”
The new release coincides with a digital relaunch that will be unveiled on Monday featuring a redesigned website and enhanced storytelling around the science behind the brand. Campaign content will feature Smith alongside longevity experts and dermatologists, who also contributed to the product’s development.

Originally a direct-to-consumer brand, Vegamour expanded into Sephora in 2021. The retailer has since become a core distribution partner, with sephora.com sales up 46 percent year-over-year in May, according to the company. The brand also entered Amazon in 2023 to further broaden its footprint.
Gro+ Advanced Supplements, priced at $88 for a month’s supply, will be available starting Monday at vegamour.com before entering Sephora and Amazon on July 22. According to industry sources, total sales projections for the year fall between $120 million and $150 million.
While ingestibles are not expected to overtake the brand’s topical business, they play a key role in Vegamour’s long-term vision, said Vegamour’s chief executive officer Eric Hohl.
“We’re looking at supplements as part of a total system,” Hohl added. “We’re not looking to hang our hat on supplements as a massive piece of the business. But supplements give us, and our customers more importantly, the tools to approach their hair longevity and hair wellness from a 360 perspective.”
