Moncler Grenoble Unveils Exhibit in Milan for 2026 Winter Olympics

MILAN – Moncler Grenoble’s return to the Olympics after an almost 60-year hiatus is coming with multiple activations, as the brand tries to capitalize on its link with winter sports and performance.

In addition to flanking Team Brazil as the official sponsor of the country’s Olympic Committee and technical sponsor of the Brazilian Snow Sports Federation and co-designing with Osklen’s Oskar Metsavaht the uniforms sported by the team — including flag-bearers Lucas Pinheiro Braathen, also a brand ambassador, and Nicole Silveira — for last Friday’s opening ceremony, the luxury brand is mounting an exhibition in Milan.

Off of the massive production for its fall 2026 show Stateside in Aspen, Moncler Grenoble unveiled on Sunday “The Beyond Performance” public exhibit staged at the courtyard of the Portrait Milano luxury shopping and hospitality space.

The show runs through Feb. 28, timed with the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.

Housed inside a temporary space with mirrored walls that fills up the courtyard area, the exhibit retraces Moncler Grenoble’s history, highlighting key moments and values.

The exhibit is organized in thematic rooms, the first dedicated to Moncler’s foundation in Monestier-de-Clermont, an alpine village near Grenoble, France, with a tree-lined, forest trail-like installation.

Serving as the foyer for the exhibition, it leads to three different room-cum-trails, each named after one of Moncler Grenoble’s distinctive colors: blue, white and red.

The blue trail explores Moncler’s history as a technical gear specialist, from outfitting alpine workers to supplying attire for mountaineering expeditions. Surrounded by video- and soundscapes, the room is filled with Moncler-branded archival pieces, from sleeping bags and anoraks to early iterations of puffer jackets developed with French explorer Lionel Terray and the famous Karakorum jacket designed for the K2 ascent of Achille Compagnoni and Lino Lacedelli in 1954.

The white room highlights Moncler Grenoble as a performance-driven division of Moncler, showcasing the original ski suits developed for Team France at the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, as well as the most recent outfits created for Team Brazil in 2026.

Other fashion-driven memorabilia in the room, where mountain footage is projected, include an ‘80s design by Parisian designer Chantal Thomass and a puffer jacket from 1990 signed by Italian ski legend Alberto Tomba that encapsulates the “paninaro” aesthetics.

The red trail — decked in mirrored walls — displays some of the more recent Moncler Grenoble pieces, drawn from its runway shows held in various locations since 2010.

In 2022 Moncler rebooted Grenoble as the brand’s “high-performance” component shining a light on its advanced technology. The brand is flanked by the fashion-forward Moncler Genius and lifestyle Moncler Collection.

Last week Moncler Grenoble held a runway event and brand experience in Aspen, drawing celebrities including Kevin Costner, Tessa Thompson, Orlando Bloom, Aubrey Plaza, Maria Sharapova, and Adrien Brody, among others. It followed last year’s fall 2025 show in Courchevel, France, and the 2024 runway event amid the imposing Swiss Alps in Saint Moritz.

Moncler Grenoble owes its name to the city that hosted the Olympic Games in 1968, when the brand was the French national ski team’s official supplier. The first Grenoble collection was presented in New York in January 2010 during the city’s fashion week.
