Min Woo Lee, Bay Golf Club ready for season 2 of TGL

He is a professional golfer from Australia. This past season saw him earn the title of PGA Tour winner for the first time. It was a hectic year in general as he balanced his own game, rooting for his sister Minjee Lee on the LPGA Tour, and a center-stage role in a new league. That last bit was certainly new.

Min Woo Lee is one of four golfers who call The Bay Golf Club home. He, Wyndham Clark, Ludvig Aberg, and Shane Lowry comprise the league’s inaugural silver medalists. The Bay won the first-ever match in TGL history, but that their season ended to the league’s eventual champions certainly had to sting a bit.

There is a lot to contending in TGL, on the PGA Tour, and managing life in between it all. Thankfully I was able to catch up with Min Woo this week to discuss it all. You can watch our conversation below.

From the moment TGL began I was hooked. I love golf and am sort of the target audience, but the idea of all matters of a golf contest being center stage and in an arena is interesting as a concept. This is something that Min Woo discussed as he noted how energetic the SoFi Center in Florida can be. He even noted that he may have reached 130mph swing speeds last year as a result of accompanying adrenaline.

The Bay Golf Club is a proper TGL home for Min Woo as someone who is a fan of the west coast. The group features investors like Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala, Domantas Sabonis and the LPGA’s Rose Zhang (who contends with Minjee Lee, obviously) so they boast a lot of star power both in and out of the simulated arena.

Min Woo is grateful for the opportunity to connect and network with such minds which is really part of the spirit of TGL at large. It has offered fans of golf something to operate in parallel with the traditional way that the game is contended and a chance to see players like Min Woo and his teammates link up and give us more team golf.

Near the end of our chat I offered Min Woo the chance to pitch me to claim The Bay as my preferred TGL team. He kept it simple as only he could and noted that they have the right people, from players to investors, and that they want to have a good time while winning.

Who doesn’t get down with that? Min Woo Lee rules and he is coming for it all in 2026, starting with season 2 of TGL.
