Michelle Obama Wears Go-To Jimmy Choo Pumps for ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

Michelle Obama appeared as a guest on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Monday wearing one of her go-to shoe labels: Jimmy Choo.

Wearing a look curated by longtime stylist Meredith Koop, the former first lady wore a glossy pair of black pointed-toe pumps from the luxury brand to accompany an Hervé Léger dress. She appeared to be wearing Jimmy Choo’s Ixia style, a pump with a square-cut vamp and drop heel — a signature detail of the brand in which the heel is rounded at the base. She wore a black patent leather version of the style which grounded her ensemble in a classic shine.

It comes as no surprise that Obama was outfitted in Jimmy Choo shoes for her engagement promoting her new book, “The Look,” which focuses on her style evolution and is co-authored by Koop.

Obama showcased the brand many times during and after her time in The White House. For instance, she wore slouchy black over-the-knee Jimmy Choo boots to go with a Bottega Veneta look for an appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” in December 2024, and at the Democratic National Convention in August 2024 she wore the brand’s Scarlett pump in black with a Monse look.

On this latest occasion, Obama’s Jimmy Choo footwear accented an aquamarine-colored bandage dress designed by Michelle Ochs, creative director of Hervé Léger.

The garment featured a sheer long-sleeve layer which provided a delicate textural contrast to the look. Koop posted the fashion moment on social media, referring to the color Kailua Blue in the caption, with an older photo of Obama and her daughters included in which the former first lady wore a different dress in the blue-green shade.

Her post also included an image of presidential tableware featuring the hue. “Throwback within a throwback” was written in the caption as well.
