Melissa has teamed up with Sanrio’s Hello Kitty and Friends once again to create a nostalgic and vibrant collection that merges Melissa’s irreverence with Sanrio’s playfulness.

Following the first collaboration between the brands, which came out in 2018, the fresh collection celebrating beloved characters from the kawaii universe launches Tuesday at shopmelissa.com. Plenty of collaborative styles are featured in the Melissa + Hello Kitty and Friends collection, reinventing an array of Melissa silhouettes. There are three new printed versions of the Free Platform slide, while the iconic Possession caged sandal and the Kick Off sandal, a chunky lightweight platform, are embellished with character applications on the uppers. In addition to shoes, the collection includes a collectible bag and an exclusive keychain.
The collection includes options for all generations, offering the Mini Melissa Ultragirl and Mini Melissa Hip shoes in addition to a Mini version of the Free Platform, allowing for a mini-me matching moment.

Brazilian influencer Sarina Gomes stars in the campaign for the collection. The brand explains in an official release that the campaign “reflects Melissa’s ongoing strategy to engage digital-native consumers through global cultural references. This campaign brings the collection’s theme to life through a fresh, fashion-meets-pop-culture lens. Inspired by Asian culture and contemporary street style, Sarina perfectly embodies the creative, boundary-pushing spirit of the collaboration.”
