Margaret Qualley kept to one of Chanel’s most familiar color combinations at the house’s spring 2026 couture show in Paris on Tuesday, wearing two-tone cap-toe slingbacks from the Métiers d’Art 2026 collection in the front row.
The “Kinds of Kindness” star’s pumps featured a white leather upper with a black cap toe, cut with a pointed shape and low, scooped vamp. A tapered mid-height heel supported slim slingback straps, and narrow sides opened into a teardrop cutout over the arch.

Qualley matched the slingbacks to a custom version of look 68 from the Métiers d’Art runway: a black sequin midi dress in place of the original red. The sleeveless sheath featured a deep V-neckline and strong, slightly extended shoulders, with sequins running in dense rows throughout. Long drop earrings, a simple ring stack and a slicked-back ponytail finished the look.

The dress and shoes first appeared together at Chanel’s recent Métiers d’Art show in New York, where Matthieu Blazy turned an abandoned Bowery subway platform into the “C” line for his debut collection and short film with Michel Gondry, Qualley and A$AP Rocky. In her review of the show for WWD, Emily Mercer called the presentation “a cinematic experience that captivated the heart of the city,” noting how it spotlighted the work of Chanel’s specialist ateliers.

Qualley’s slingbacks sit inside Blazy’s broader rework of Chanel’s cap-toe. The French house’s two-tone pump, introduced in 1957 as a beige slingback with a black toe, has been revisited across recent seasons, from new square-toe and almond-toe shapes on the spring 2026 runway to the sculpted pumps worn this month by Jessie Buckley on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and by Dua Lipa at the same couture show in Paris.
Qualley has been a Chanel house ambassador since 2020, fronting campaigns for spring 2020 eyewear, the Coco Beach 2022 collection and the 2023 Coco Crush jewelry line.
