Lucy Liu embraced monochromatic minimalism for her appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Tuesday, grounding her all-black ensemble with barely-there stiletto sandals.

The actress, who is promoting her film “Rosemead,” looked to be wearing a Nine West sandal style from her wardrobe which she’s donned in the past. The Loola sandal finds power in minimalism, featuring a medium-width strap across the toes and slender ankle straps with a small silver buckle. The silhouette is completed by a rounded toe boosted by the subtlest platform and a tall 4.25-inch stiletto heel. Liu wore a glossy black version of the shoe, thought it’s offered in several other colors. This isn’t the first time Liu has worn a more affordable heel style — she wore a beige minimalist sandal from Aldo at the Locarno Film Festival in August.

Liu’s quietly glamorous shoes complemented a black Shushu/Tong dress with a corset-inspired waist and a layered, asymmetric skirt. The dress is crafted from lustrous taffeta, and a little velvet bow at the bust completes the look with understated material contrast.

In June, Liu wore mary jane pumps from Chanel with a stacked faux pearl heel at the Through Her Lens luncheon hosted by the fashion house and Tribeca. Liu is also a fan of the Remy platforms from Sole Bliss, which her “Charlie’s Angels” costar Drew Barrymore had her try on at a party at the White House, per the brand.
