Lucrecia Dalt has announced a new album: A Danger to Ourselves—the follow-up to her 2022 opus ¡Ay!—is out September 5 (via Rvng Intl.). The new record features new song “Divina,” whose Tony Lowe–directed video you can watch below, as well as the recent David Sylvian collaboration “Cosa Rara.” In addition to that vocal feature, Sylvian co-produced the LP, which also features Juana Molina and Camille Mandoki, plus drum loops from Alex Lázaro. Get the album details below.
In a press release, Dalt said of the album, “In the past, I often turned to movies and texts as mirrors to shape my stories, guiding me away from revealing too much from within, inventing isolated fictions. This time, I wanted to create music that flows cinematically and sets a landscape to tell a love story that flirts with improbability, the miraculous and the mysterious.”
