Loewe Opens its Largest Store in Paris, a Full ‘Casa’ Concept

Loewe has been present and expanding on Avenue Montaigne in Paris since 1996, and the Spanish luxury house has finally graduated to a full Casa Loewe flagship, which officially opens Wednesday.

The 6,250-square-foot unit offers a full selection of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, bags, shoes, small leather goods, jewelry, eyewear and accessories, alongside a dedicated home department showcasing blankets, cushions and scents.

“We’ve been catching up with key competitors by completing our Casa network of flagship stores, and Paris was an obvious choice,” said Pascale Lepoivre, chief executive officer of Loewe. “Paris is one of the key fashion capitals for the luxury industry and remains critical to grow our brand visibility and awareness, not only with locals but also tourists.”

The brand, controlled by French luxury giant LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, had previously unveiled a major expansion on Avenue Montaigne in 2013, and a big refurbishment in 2021 that set the current design concept, evoking the home of an avid collector of art, design and crafts.

In recent years Loewe has leapfrogged to become a global luxury brand by “growing our awareness, strengthening our product offer and launching successful 360-degree animations that connect creativity, culture and craftsmanship from marketing to stores,” Lepoivre told WWD. “This rapid growth meant that our retail presence had to match the size and status of the brand.”

Key design features on Avenue Montaigne include slender ceramic tiles in green, blue, orange and silver, accentuated by expanses of marble and trimmings in brass and iron.

Loewe stores are designed by its in-house team and architect Paula Aza Custodio. The latest refurbishment and expansion took about one year.

The sprawling new Casa in Paris, with entrances at No. 46 and No. 48, boasts a series of windows that flood the space with natural light, which falls on unique furniture, paintings, sculptures and vessels.

Whipstitched Utrecht armchairs by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld, rugs bearing the vivid landscapes of British textile artist John Allen, and a monumental cotton wall hanging by German artist Franz Erhard Walther are among holdovers from the Jonathan Anderson era. (The wall hanging formed the backdrop of Loewe’s fall 2019 show.)

The Northern Irish designer revved up Loewe over an acclaimed 11-year tenure before taking up the design helm at Christian Dior Couture earlier this year. American design duo Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez succeeded Anderson and showed their first collection during Paris Fashion Week last October for the spring 2026 season, reprising those signature ceramic tiles as sleek benches for the audience.

On Avenue Montaigne, George Nakashima chairs and Isamu Noguchi lighting fixtures share space with bespoke Loewe creations, including puffy leather benches, marble plinths and a coffee table in black terrazzo.

Paintings by Walter Price, an imposing wall panel by Henry Moore and large-scale ceramics by South African artist Zizipho Poswa are among the eclectic works on display.

Interspersed are examples of stoneware, basket-weaving, ceramics and woodworking from victors of the annual Loewe Foundation Craft Prize, founded in 2016.

“All of our stores are designed to be both warmly inviting and commercially effective,” according to Lepoivre. “You’ll notice each [Casa] follows a unique design, from art to furniture, bespoke to that location, such as the gold ceramic facade of our recently opened Casa Jing’an in Shanghai.”

At present, Loewe operates 15 freestanding Casa flagships globally, including Barcelona and Madrid locations in its home country.

“Next year we will expand our existing store on Rue Saint-Honoré to become our second Casa in Paris, a project that further underlines the importance of the French market for the house,” Lepoivre revealed.

Meanwhile, 2026 will see Loewe open its first Casa in the U.S., on Madison Avenue in New York, and its first Casa in Italy, in Milan.

Lepoivre noted that Casa flagships are the first stores in the Loewe retail network to receive new collections, capsules and limited-edition products.

For example, the Amazona 180, revealed along with the spring 2026 collection, will arrive at Loewe Casa locations first. “They also often have more spaces to offer unique experiences for our VICs,” Lepoivre noted.
