MILAN — Live Story, the Milan-based scale-up company that bets it can revolutionize CMR and the digital infrastructures of e-commerce and omnichannel operations, is making its foray in the U.K.
Founded in 2016 by Stefano Mocellini — a veteran of the e-commerce and fashion tech space and the founder of Diana Corp., which he sold and exited in 2022 — Live Story was originally established in the U.S.
Last year, it closed a 2.7 million euro seed round led by the Italian venture capital firm Vertis.
Backed by new funding and committed to an aggressive expansion plan, Live Story has set up operations in the U.K., unveiling the move Thursday in London.
Live Story’s proprietary, no-code, AI-driven platform is deemed as “a business-first solution” in that it allows brands’ teams across marketing, e-commerce and omnichannel operations to seamlessly manage and optimize digital frontends — of websites, e-commerce sites, and nonproprietary digital platforms — without relying on complex and fragmented development cycles, or the support of IT departments and developers.
The company claims that the speed of execution it ensures is as much as 80 percent faster than using traditional CMS systems.
“Enterprise brands today don’t suffer from lack of creativity, they suffer from lack of operational speed,” Mocellini said. “Our goal is to give business teams back control of the front-end layer, allowing them to move at the pace the market demands,” he said.
In an interview ahead of Thursday’s reveal in the U.K., the Live Story founder said his ambition is to make the company’s innovative CMS-like tool a “market standard.”
“We’re a business-to-business tool, most of the technological tools on the market are designed to meet and answer technology’s needs and challenges, whereas our main objective is speed and ease of execution to make everyday’s business life much easier,” he said. “We’re agnostic to technology.”
To this end, Live Story can be integrated with tech stacks already in place to enhance the front-end experience and personalization of websites or e-commerce.
The platform has already been picked up by about 100 brands, many in fashion, including Bottega Veneta, Valentino, Max Mara Fashion Group, OVS and coffeemaker Illy.

Mocellini has set ambitious goals for the company, which he expects to grow into a 10 million euro enterprise by 2027.
In the next 12 to 18 months, Live Story will also scale up its AI integration, allowing brands to set strategic and creative guidelines for the digital environments to change and adapt based on user behavior and contextual signals of usage. This is aimed at offering consumers a personalized experience of digital platforms and ultimately increase the likelihood of higher conversion rates.
