Lily Gladstone Suits Up for ‘Fancy Dance’ Hollywood Screening

Lily Gladstone suited up for a red carpet event on Tuesday. The “Killers of the Flower Moon” Oscar nominee joined her cast members and director for the Film Independent screening of “Fancy Dance” in Hollywood.

For the screening, Gladstone chose a monochrome black suit, featuring a coordinated single-breasted blazer and trousers. The blazer had sharp lapels and a single gold button.

Gladstone’s suit featured wide-leg trousers, complemented by a silver statement necklace. Her hair was coifed to the side and her makeup featured a pop of a berry red lip.

Gladstone’s makeup was done by Petra Battiest, while her hair was styled by Brian Fisher. The actor’s entire look was curated by stylists Jason Rembert and Wilton White.

Gladstone posed for photos alongside her “Fancy Dance” costar Isabel DeRoy-Olson and the film’s director, Erica Tremblay. WWD spoke with DeRoy-Olson about “Fancy Dance” last June. “For so long, Indigenous peoples [have] only been seen as caricatures of our culture and our identities,” the actress said of the film. “And I think what ‘Fancy Dance’ does so well is showing the reality in who we are.”

Prior to her appearance at the Film Independent special screening of her film “Fancy Dance,” Gladstone joined a bevy of stars at the 2024 Emmy Awards. Gladstone was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her work in “Under the Bridge.” She wore a custom gown by Rodarte for the occasion. At the 2024 Golden Globes, where she won Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture — Drama for “Killers of the Flower Moon,” she wore a white strapless custom gown from Valentino.

“Fancy Dance” follows Jax, played by Gladstone, as she copes with the disappearance of her sister. To keep what remains of her family together, Jax kidnaps her niece Roki, played by DeRoy-Olson, and the two set out for the state powwow. “Fancy Dance” is now available to stream on Apple TV+.
