Leon Bridges is back soon with a new album. Leon, the follow-up to 2021âs Gold-Diggers Sound, arrives October 4 via Columbia. Below, watch the video for lead single âPeaceful Place.â
Bridges recorded Leon with producer Ian Fitchuk at Mexicoâs El Desierto studio, and with co-producer Daniel Tashian in Nashville. âLeon has been a long-time coming,â Bridges wrote in a statement. âI started writing pieces of it as far back as Gold-Diggers Sound. They didnât fit what I was trying to do with that album, and I tried moving on. But I couldnât shake them because theyâre part of me. And, if Iâm honest, also because I think this is some of my most excellent work yet.â
The Texas soul singer continued:
In recent years, Bridges has made music with fellow Khruangbin. In 2020, they shared the Texas Sun EP, and, two years later, they dropped the Texas Moon EP.
