Los Angeles based brow queen Kristie Streicher, whose clients include Adele and Sandra Bullock, is also helping New Yorkers have their best brows possible.
Her L.A. based beauty studio Striiike is now hosting a pop-up at 11 Howard around every two months. She will be hosting on Tuesday and Wednesday and the next dates are Nov. 5 and Nov. 6.
Services include her signature Nurtured Brow, brow lift, microfeathering and pigment removal.
Streicher started her career in New York City in 2001, before becoming bicoastal in 2008, alternating between L.A. and New York. She moved full-time to L.A. in 2011, and opened Striiike with her sisters. When the chance came to return to New York, Streicher jumped at it. “11 Howard actually approached me for the opportunity,” she said, “and going back to New York was such a no-brainer.”
After 11 Howard, she and her team will head to Duchess, a beauty and wellness store located in Bedford, N.Y., and owned by Kristie’s sister, Jenn Streicher.
Striiike is about to turn 10, which Kristie Streicher plans to celebrate with a party in L.A.
In addition to Striiike, she launched her brow line, KS & Co., with products including a Microfeathering Brow Pen, $42, a Clear Stronghold Brow Gel, $32 and Sheer Tinted Brow Gel, $36.
“I’m just genuinely making products that I love, that I need,” she said. “It’s just like a natural step after I do somebody’s brows. You want to style them. And I was finding that there weren’t products that were exactly what I wanted them to be so to be able to make them has been so great.”
As for what brow trends Streicher is seeing, clients have been into soft, fluffy, natural brows. “Less people are filling them in. They don’t want to be doing anything, they don’t want to be using pencil. So, at the studio, we do tinting a lot because it just helps to bring every hair out, and you can see every hair.”
Other clients are asking for a “snatched” look, with a shortened tail.
