Kylie Jenner kept her vintage streak going on Sunday night, skipping the red carpet but still joining Timothée Chalamet inside London’s Royal Festival Hall for the 79th BAFTA Film Awards in a spring 1999 Thierry Mugler gown. Chalamet was nominated for Best Leading Actor for his role in the ping-pong drama “Marty Supreme.”

Sourced from Tab Vintage, Jenner’s dress brought classic Mugler structure in black velvet, cut with slim straps, a low, curved neckline and a straight, floor-length skirt. Mixed-cut stones formed a concentrated crystal burst that spread out from a large orange-toned gem at the center of the bust — a complementary hue to the the warm orange shade that has run through her “Marty Supreme” premiere and award show looks.
The Mugler moment continues Jenner’s emerging run of trophy vintage on the “Marty Supreme” campaign trail. At the 2026 Critics Choice Awards, Jenner wore a lingerie-inspired slip dress from Versace’s fall 1996 collection — also sourced through Tab Vintage — where Chalamet received the Best Actor trophy for “Marty Supreme.”

The Kylie Cosmetics founder worked with stylists Alexandra Rose and Mackenzie Grandquist for the BAFTAs appearance, pairing the Mugler gown with teardrop diamond earrings by Lorraine Schwartz and a blue stone ring. She wore her hair straight with a subtle side part, and her makeup stayed minimal: defined brows, neutral eye makeup and a soft pink lip.
Jenner’s sisters have also turned to the label for archival picks: Kim Kardashian opted for a metallic winter 1986 Mugler gown for her family’s Christmas Eve party back in December, while Kendall Jenner opted for a black rubber lace dress from spring 1992 at the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party last March.
Chappell Roan has also turned to the house’s archive this season, wearing Mugler’s spring 1998 “nipple ring” couture dress in burgundy on the 2026 Grammys red carpet — a look that quickly went viral for its sheer construction and ring-fastened bodice.

Inside the Royal Festival Hall, Jenner and Chalamet watched “One Battle After Another” take Best Film while British actor Robert Aramayo won Best Leading Actor for “I Swear.” “Marty Supreme” left without a win despite its 11 nominations, tying the BAFTA record for most losses in a single night.
