Kyle Pitts start or sit: Week 2 fantasy football advice

The Atlanta Falcons head into Minnesota as 3.5-point underdogs against the Vikings on Sunday. They are coming off a 23-20 loss to the Buccaneers. Michael Penix Jr. played well enough, as he focused targets on his top three receivers, Drake London, Bijan Robinson and Kyle Pitts. Darnell Mooney sat with a shoulder injury, while London missed some time with his own shoulder injury suffered in the game.

Heading to Minnesota they’ll face a tougher defense led by Brian Flores. And at this point, there is a chance Mooney and London both play, which would spread the target tree out a bit more.

Below, we’ll go over Kyle Pitts’ outlook in fantasy football for Week 2.

Fantasy Football analysis: Falcons, TE, Kyle Pitts

Pitts has yet to live up to his early first round hype, but he also shows just enough to keep pulling us back in. At this point he is a good matchup tight end, who is helped by injuries to other key targets. That will be an important idea to keep in mind, as both Drake London and Darnell Mooney aren’t 100% healthy at the moment. London and Mooney appear to be leaning toward playing this weekend, so keep an eye on the news there.

Start or sit in Week 2 PPR leagues?

Sit. I currently have Pitts ranked as my TE14 in PPR leagues. As long as London and Mooney are back, I am sitting him as long as I have a Top 12 option. If London were to miss, I’ll likely move Pitts up.
