Is this the beginning of the Shedeur Sanders era? We’ll see. On Sunday the rookie finally got his shot for some live-fire reps after Dillon Gabriel took a shot and had to head to the locker room for a concussion evaluation.
It didn’t take long for Sanders to get some unwanted attention. Kyle Hamilton came for the rookie on a safety blitz, and after taking down Sanders he mocked the rookie QB with his own celebration.
It comes with the territory when you present yourself as a superstar. Lord knows that everyone who sacked Cam Newton loved doing his Superman celebration when he was in the league, and Shedeur has invited that same level of attention for the wrong reasons.
The start to his NFL career has been pretty ugly so far. Not only did Sanders take this sack and get mocked for it, but a couple of plays later he was hit as he threw, and it resulted in an interception. You might say he’s not quite ready for prime time.
