Kristen Stewart continued her latest underwear-as-outerwear style streak with a take on Fleur du Mal’s lingerie at the SFFilm Awards on Monday night in San Francisco.
“The Chronology of Water” filmmaker, who was styled by Tara Swennen, wore a combo of the black Seduce-U Plunge bodysuit with a high-waisted, straight black maxiskirt. The bodysuit was crafted with a four-way stretch microfiber with molded cups and sinuous lines.

The black maxiskirt gave Stewart an elongated frame, and the entire look was totally monochrome with the addition of platform black peep-toe shoes evocative of ’90s trends. Stewart took a minimalist approach with her jewelry, wearing a delicate ring.
As for her glam, Stewart’s hair was styled with a touch of messiness by Rena Calhou. The “Spencer” Oscar-nominee’s makeup included bold brows, a smokey eye and a neutral lip by artist Mai Quynh.

Stewart’s approach to style includes a certain penchant for underwear-as-outerwear. As one of the stars who helped revitalize and popularize the briefs trend and the peekaboo bra layering trend, gravitating toward such playful takes has become a cornerstone of her red carpet wardrobe.
For the IndieWire Honors in Los Angeles on Thursday night, Stewart wore a custom Calvin Klein Collection black wool blazer with a cotton-silk bodysuit, leggings and briefs. The leggings and brief portion of Stewart’s look hit the runway as part of the spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection during New York Fashion Week in September and were curated by creative director Veronica Leoni.

Stewart was the 2025 recipient of the Nion McEvoy & Leslie Berriman Award for Storytelling at the San Francisco Film Awards on Monday night. The actress made her directorial debut with her film “The Chronology of Water,” based on the memoir by Lidia Yuknavitch, which follows an elite swimmer who comes to terms with her past trauma.
