Kerry Washington in 3D Prada Florals at 2025 NAACP Image Awards

Kerry Washington added a textural spin to springtime florals at the NAACP Image Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday. The actress modeled a two-piece ensemble by Prada, which consisted of a purple bandeau top and a brown maxiskirt adorned with rosette appliqués.

Washington, who accessorized with jeweled drop earrings and rings, was styled by Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn. The duo also counts stars like Lindsay Lohan, Jennifer Lopez and Hailee Steinfeld as clients.

Takisha Sturdivant-Drew styled Washington’s dark tresses in a half-updo, while makeup artist Carola Gonzalez gave her brown eyeshadow, mauve blush and lip gloss.

In December, the Emmy-winning actress channeled Audrey Hepburn at a ceremony celebrating her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Washington was accompanied by her parents, Earl and Valerie, as well as Shonda Rhimes and Tyler Perry.

Washington donned a sleeveless black gown by Giambattista Valli, which featured a sequined lace panel, bedazzled neckline and bow tied at the waist. Her glamorous look nodded to Hepburn‘s iconic ensemble from the 1961 film “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” designed by Givenchy.

Rhimes, who worked with Washington on “Scandal,” called the actress “a true star.”

“I’m really glad to be here for Kerry,” Rhimes began. “This is so well-deserved….She’s a bright soul who lights up any space that she’s in.”

Washington also gave her own speech at the ceremony, thanking her parents for teaching her “to dream.”

“They taught me to believe, and to pursue,” she said. “So here we are. Mom, dad, can you believe it? An actual star? You made a wish, and it came true.”

The 2025 NAACP Image Awards, held on Feb. 22 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium and hosted by Dean Cole, honor Black entertainers who left an indelible impact on arts and culture in 2024. The Wayans family will be inducted into the NAACP Hall of Fame and former Vice President Kamala Harris will receive the Chairman’s Award.
