Kendrick Lamar has won Best Rap Song for “Not Like Us” at the 2025 Grammys. The anthemic Drake diss track earns Lamar a record-equalling seventh win in the category, following “I,” “Alright,” “Humble,” “The Heart Part 5,” and the collaborative tracks “King’s Dead” and “Family Ties”; only Kanye West, a fellow nominee this year, has taken the category as many times. It may, too, be the first time a winning song has been facing legal action for allegedly defaming a former Grammys darling.
Lamar claimed the prize ahead of “Like That” (by Future, Metro Boomin, and Kendrick Lamar), “Yeah Glo!” (Glorilla), “Asteroids” (Rapsody and Hit-Boy)‚ and “Carnival” (¥$, Kanye West, Ty Dolla $ign, and Rich the Kid ft. Playboi Carti). It is the latest in a string of big wins for Lamar at the Grammys, including 17 before tonight and a further seven nominations this year, with winners in most still to be announced.
