Kaia Gerber and Cindy Crawford are truly one of the same.
The mother-daughter duo stepped out for the annual LACMA Art + Film Gala on Saturday, arriving with the same hairstyle, which paid homage to Old Hollywood. Gerber, 24, and Crawford, 59, posed in front of the legendary “Urban Light” installation by Chris Burden with wide brown curls folding around their faces.

With her hair parted down the middle, Gerber donned tight waves; the circles falling inward over her shoulders. Meanwhile, her face-framing layers mingled with the body of her hair and moved away from her forehead. Crawford, on the other hand, touted Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show bombshell hair; her honey-brown highlights softly waved and parted over the right side of her head. Both evoked the refined and ultra-feminine glamour of hair trends from the 1920s to the 1960s.
Bryce Scarlett — stylist to Margot Robbie, Hailey Bieber, Lily-Rose Depp and Charli XCX — brought the “Bottoms” star’s hair to life, while Renato Campora, the architect behind Selena Gomez’s wedding day hair, worked on Crawford’s look for the LACMA event.

Not only were Crawford and Gerber matching in beauty, they twinned in the same designer, too. Both Gerber’s red sequin halterneck gown and Crawford’s off-the-shoulder gold beaded dress were courtesy of Gucci. Aspects of their makeup aesthetic, however, were not in sync. Gerber kept the top of her eyelids bare and lightly bronzed thanks to makeup artist Nina Park, while Crawford covered hers in a dusty charcoal hue with the help of Terri Apanasewicz.

Elsewhere outside the museum, Doja Cat put her own spin on Marilyn Monroe’s famous bleach blond pixie-cut hairdo with small ringlets, Dippity-Do Hair Gel style. The strong hold gel, designed to set rollers and pin curls, became synonymous with the “Paint the Town Red” singer’s hairstyle when it first launched in the ’60s. The vintage commercial has since resurfaced online as beauty influencers such as Brigette Pheloung have attempted to master the thick product on her own.
Doja Cat’s hair was likely the work of stylist JStayReady; however, she’s yet to credit him online. WWD has reached out for confirmation.
