The Buffalo Bills are going to win the Super Bowl. I said it. I believe.
Let the record show that I am a Dallas Cowboys fan and that I am the expert of all experts in incorrectly predicting a team to win the Super Bowl. I have nothing but a lifetime of experience.
But the Bills have become a team that superstitions can’t touch anymore. They have arrived (long ago). They have victory-danced (many times). They have been burned by the game’s greatest (unfortunately also many times). They have loved and lost and come out stronger and that is their true superpower.
I am a firm believer that you have to know the stakes in order to recognize the consequences of things. I’d offer that a big reason why the Philadelphia Eagles destroyed the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX was because Philly knew what it was like to lose that game, and to that team to that point.
If anyone knows what it’s like to lose to the Chiefs it is the Bills. I say this with respect. They have done it every way you can, at home now or obviously on the road, and seem to have reached a point of acceptance… the superpower in question.
Some will point to Buffalo’s actual superpower being the league’s reigning MVP in Josh Allen. This certainly makes a lot of sense.
Allen is one of the most dynamic quarterbacks the league has seen in some time and now has the individual hardware to back it up. If he wins it all then the narrative will shift entirely, but with all due respect he will reach a particular point of immortality that most cannot.
Winning a Super Bowl in Buffalo would be different. Doing it for Bills Mafia would be different. This is a place that was down so bad pre-Allen that they longed for the days where they could lose a playoff game. Josh has restored order and done so with some secret sauce.
Josh has some actual sauces going on these days and I can tell you that they are delicious. He teamed up with SNICKERS to offer three different ones that will drop during halftime of the 1pm ET Sunday NFL games every Sunday in September starting September 7. Fans can visit SNICKERS.com/Sauces to get their hands on the limited-edition SNICKERS Sauces 3-pack for free with a purchase of a pack of SNICKERS Minis – a perfect combination in tackling halftime hunger.
Buffalo is the kind of place where if the Bills really did win the Super Bowl then these bottles of sauces would become sacred relics and live for all of time.
“This bottle was released the year that Josh Allen brought the Bills a Super Bowl. We only allow ourselves to draw from it when we are in need of serious luck.”
That is going to happen this year. I believe it. I bet you believe it.
2025 is the year of the Bills and all of the sauce.
