Jordyn Woods announced her Christmas Day engagement to Karl-Anthony Towns on Thursday. In addition to the striking diamond ring the NBA star gave his now-fiancée, another accessory that stood out during the proposal were her Alaïa’s heart heels.

Woods’ sister Jodie Woods shared a series of photos on her Instagram Stories. Her big sister’s shoes added another layer of romance to the moment, opting for Alaïa’s popular Le Cœur slingbacks in white patent leather. The slingback heels stood out thanks to the signature heart cut at the front of the pointed-toe shoe.
The rest of the heel’s upper are made with a transparent polyuretane material, which is commonly used to create the nude appearance in see-through shoes. The sides of the shoe and part of the straps are also made from the PU material creating a barely there effect on the shoes.

The shoes feature an adjustable buckle closure on the side of the white leather slingback straps. The heels, which are made in Italy, stand on a tall, pencil-thin stiletto heel, measuring 90mm. Woods was already decked out in a bridal-inspired ensemble, pairing the white heels with a white satin dress and a matching fur coat.
The Le Cœur slingbacks are available on the Alaïa website in red, black, white and brown. The popular heels retail for $1,500. Woods is a fan of the shoe style and wore them when she attended the first anniversary of “Hell’s Kitchen” on Broadway in April in New York, wearing the heart-toe slingback pumps in the color “Rouge” to the event.

The basketball star scored two wins on Christmas Day, after the New York Knicks secured a win against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday. Towns and Woods started dating in May 2020, after being close friends for years, and they went public with their relationship in September 2020. The model moved to New York to support her now-fiancé, and since then has launched her own fashion line Woods by Jordyn, which recently introduced a shoe collection.
