Move over wedding editorials in glossy magazines and cheesy videos on Instagram. There’s a new game in town when it comes to marriages – tying the knot at the conclusion of a runway show.
Designers Jordan Bowen and Luca Marchetto capped off their fall 2025 presentation by exchanging vows and promising each other forever love – like, for real. Yet hold off any eyebrow raising and habits on social media, always so fast to label any move as a fashion stunt. The moment was surely unusual but felt authentic and, honestly, very sweet.
“Love is what everyone needs right now. When we started to work on this collection in August, we wanted to send out a message of love but we didn’t know how to do it,” Marchetto said backstage before the show, and ceremony. “Then Jordan said: ‘Why don’t we get married?’.”

Was he concerned the nuptials could be seen as a mere gimmick? Marchetto candidly replied: “We’ve been together for 16 years, not yesterday. For us the starting point is genuine, then people can think whatever they want.”
The palpable emotions of the couple, guests and the teary-eyed cast – which included the designers’ friends, family and models that have worked with them for years – proved Marchetto’s point.

The collection paraded before the big moment was the result of love, too. The designers looked back at their brand’s archives and reprised the pieces they have treasured the most, some with new fabrics, as well.
There were signature double-collar shirts, leather pants with a horizontal zip on the front and those floor-sweeping flared denim pants with trains they debuted in their first show in Milan after decamping from London three years ago. The Britishness and punk vibe was still very strong in the profusion of checks, plaids and boxy tailoring pierced with spiky studs on the cuffs, as well as the statement shearling or studded platform wedges.
Double-belted trench coats and cashmere duffle coats with 3D-printed toggle buttons were flanked by velvet slip dresses, kilts reimagined into pencil skirts and a plethora of tops and dresses with theatrical straps – a construction that characterized the floral dresses of a trio of women that could have doubled as bridesmaids given the occasion.

As for Marchetto and Bowen themselves, they opted for a pinstriped black suit and a white tuxedo jacket with red lapels, respectively, which were developed with Marton Mills. After all, as the wedding celebrant best said in her opening speech, “love, much like fashion, is about finding that perfect fit.”
