First Lady Jill Biden favored holiday inspiration for her attire for a Toys for Tots event held at the White House on Friday. The first lady was joined by children whose parents served in different branches of the military.
For the occasion, Biden looked to cozy, wintertime dressing and holiday inspiration for her attire for the family-oriented event. The first lady wore a cream knit dress by Gabriela Hearst, which featured a flattering collar and small buttons.
The shape of the dress featured a straight skirt with subtle pleating, which Biden paired with a set of black heel boots. Atop her collared knit dress, Biden wore a shimmering silver blazer by Veronica Beard.
When it came to her accessories, Biden opted to layer a series of gold necklaces. She also wore a gold bracelet to complete the look. As for her glam, the first lady’s blond tresses were styled in a voluminous look with soft curls. Her makeup included a natural look with just a hint of a defined eye.
Over the last several months, Biden demonstrated her proclivity for an added touch of sparkle to her sartorial statement. For the Kennedy Center Honors on Dec. 8, the first lady wore a shimmering white dress with dazzling, delicate embellishments on the cuffs of her sleeves and the collar of the dress.
Gabriela Hearst is a designer Biden turned to in the past. She memorably wore a white lambskin cutout dress by Gabriela Hearst for the coronation Big Lunch at Downing Street in London in May 2023.
Throughout her time as the first lady, Biden’s wardrobe showcased her appreciation for classic styles with pops of color and modern twists. Her recent wardrobe choice — combining a shimmering Veronica Beard blazer with a classic, knit Gabriela Hearst dress — seamlessly merged the two best qualities of her style.
