Jennifer Lawerence Brings Jonathan Anderson’s Dior to Rome Festival

Jennifer Lawrence endorsed Jonathan Anderson‘s designs in a look from Dior at the “Die My Love” screening during the Rome Film Festival on Monday.

The Oscar-winning actress wore an ensemble from Dior’s spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection, which made textural differentiation and contrast its main motif. The look was comprised of a mocha sweater atop a black dress shirt with fabric ruching at the neckline and buttoned cuffs.

Lawerence’s sweater-blouse gave way to a puffy maxiskirt, featuring a tiered effect with bubble hems in white and a black bow beneath the hem of the first tier. The actress coordinated her look with a pair of black pointed-toe bootie heels.

As for her glam, Lawrence’s blond-brunette hair was tossed up into a messy chignon, with fringe and wisps of hair to frame her face. Her makeup, featuring products from Dior Beauty, included such highlights as bold brows, a lined cat eye and a glossy berry lip. Lawrence has collaborated with stylist Jamie Mizrahi in the past.

Lawrence has a close relationship with Dior as an ambassador to the French luxury fashion house for more than a decade. Her red carpet Rome Film Festival look hails from the label’s spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection — Jonathan Anderson’s first as Dior’s latest couturier.

“I have never been under more pressure in my entire life, and I’m usually the person who puts the pressure on, but this one is more complex, because it used to be that it was never more fashionable to like fashion. Now it’s more fashionable to destroy fashion,” Anderson said, per Joelle Diderich’s review of the collection.

Anderson’s era at Dior ushered in looks that possessed “a lightness that was not immediately apparent in those earlier efforts, starting with the opening look, a white plissé lampshade dress that floated on invisible hoops,” per Diderich’s review.

The designer, “leaned into Dior’s architectural approach, but instead of quoting the brand’s historic H line, or A line, he made up his own. In his show notes, the designer described it as a play between ‘harmony and tension.’ In reality, it looked an awful lot like his previous work at Loewe.”
