Jenna Ortega and her stylist, Enrique Melendez, are never the ones to keep it neutral when it comes to footwear.
On Tuesday, the actress stepped out for a screening for the second season of “Wednesday” in New York, wearing a pair of head-turning leather boots from Miista. The lace-up, corset-inspired footwear added to her overall dramatic, gothic look.

The Miista Shana boots feature intricate lacing across the upper, and it continues all the way up to the knee. The lacing is similar to that of Irish ghillie shoes, which are slowly brewing as an upcoming trend in the footwear space. The Shana boots also feature silver eyelets, giving them a bolder silhouette.

The knee-high boots also feature an angular wedge heel measuring about 2.5 inches, and are made from black cow and sheep leather. The shoes come with an ultra-cushioned memory foam padded-stitch insole, a vegetable tan cow leather lining and a rubber-injected toe.
The elongated square toe gives the shoe a touch of whimsical flair that Ortega has been leaning into while promoting the Tim Burton project. The Shana boots are also available in gray and retail for $685.

Laura Villasenin started her Miista label in 2010 after leaving Spain and moving to London to perfect her craft. Miista combines the nostalgia of a Spanish rural heritage with a modernist feminine feel, translating cinematic, surrealist and retrospective inspirations into timeless styles. Now the shoes are designed in London and made in Spain by a 19th-century workshop in Alicante.
Ortega paired the shoes with a black satin and leather dress, which was look four from Ann Demeulemeester’s fall 2025 collection. Designed by Stefano Gallici, the long dress featured layered and ruffled fabrics, adding a punk feel with the tattered leather details.
So far for this press tour, Ortega has opted for standout shoes to pair with her eye-grabbing ensembles. Avoiding traditional pointed pumps, the actress has instead reached for more exciting and dramatic shoes like mesh heels by Bottega Veneta, Christian Louboutin’s Cassia Nodo platform pumps, Vivienne Westwood Elevated Ghillie and more. Part one of “Wednesday” season two arrives on Netflix on Wednesday, with part two premiering in September.
