Jaylen Waddle was limited in practice this week for the Miami Dolphins with a hamstring strain, but he was ready to go for kickoff on Sunday against the Houston Texans. Unfortunately, Waddle’s day couldn’t have gone any worse: he was held without a catch for the first two questions against Houston, and then limped off the field with an apparent injury.
Waddle limped to the locker room with what’s being reported as a right knee injury. Grant Dubose replaced him in the Dolphins’ lineup. Miami trails Houston 10-3 at the time of this update.
Here’s video of Waddle’s injury:
Waddle is questionable to return.
It’s been a rough year all around for Waddle. After crossing 1,000 yards receiving in each of his first three years in the NFL, the former No. 6 overall draft pick only has 700 yards receiving this year, and a career-low two touchdown grabs.
We’ll update this story as it develops.
