Update: Reed won’t return to Thursday Night Football, per Ian Rapoport. No receiver has seen a big bump in work after Reed’s departure, as nobody has topped four targets at this point in the game. Dontayvion Wicks appears to be the biggest beneficiary so far, but Jordan Love continues to spread the ball around fairly evenly. With a 14-3 lead in the third quarter, Josh Jacobs and the Packers strong defense will likely continue to be the road the Packers take toward victory.
Update: Reed is officially questionable to return with what appears to be a shoulder injury.
A long Jayden Reed touchdown reception was nullified due to holding early in the first quarter of Thursday Night Football. Reed made the catch, but appears to have hurt his arm/shoulder in the process. He is being taken to the locker room for further evaluation.
Reed came into this game with a Jones fracture in his foot, but this injury appears to be due to him landing on his shoulder. If he can’t continue tonight, Matthew Golden, Tucker Kraft and Dontayvion Wicks would likely see the biggest bumps in usage.
Reed isn’t a full time player as it is, but his absence would help concentrate targets to a few Packers receivers and maybe end up pushing more work Josh Jacobs’ way. Wicks and Golden look to see the biggest bumps in work at this point.
