At the Louis Vuitton men’s fall 2025 show in Paris, an LV bag of a different kind made its debut closing the fashion show, courtesy of J-Hope.
The BTS singer’s new song “LV Bag,” a collaboration with Don Toliver, was unveiled as the final song during men’s creative director Pharrell Williams’ show. He produced the tune, which was among other songs that set the soundtrack for the show, opening with Nobuo Uematsu’s “One-Winged Angel (Final Fantasy VII)” performed by L’Orchestre du Pont Neuf; three original tracks played, including Seventeen’s “Bad Influence, and The Weeknd and Playboi Carti’s “Timeless.” Pharrell produced all three tracks.
Williams, along with his friend and design collaborator Nigo, greeted J-Hope at the end of the show. The brand ambassador, who was tapped in 2023, wore a brown bucket hat, a button-down shirt and jeans. A Speedy bag with dangling pearls completed the look.
K-pop fans reacted en masse to the unexpected release of “LV Bag,” many overwhelming the brand’s YouTube livestream with more than 1,000 comments. To compare, the brand’s spring 2025 show has 624 comments since June.
Bags were inspiring to Williams and Nigo as well. The designers delivered styles that “appeal to newbies and seasoned collectors alike,” WWD’s Joelle Diderich described in her review, noting styles included “quilted shoppers and squishy trunks to jewel-colored satin keepalls with souvenir jacket embroideries; backpacks dangling lobster charms, and so-called Damier Phriendship bags printed with face profiles of the two men.”
Speaking to WWD, Williams said “the collection is a lot like our friendship. It’s not looking to be unnecessarily bold for attention. The attention is in the details.”
